H-2B In-Country

We file in-country extension H-2B petitions for Lodge Attendant, Dining Room Attendant, Housekeeper, Steward, Childcare Teacher, Maintenance Technician II, and Cook II positions.

H-2B VISA ELIGIBLE POSITIONS (IN COUNTRY ONLY):

Cook II: 11/30/24-4/20/25
Housekeeper: 12/9/24-4/20/25
Child Care Teacher: 12/4/24-4/20/25
Lodge Attendant: 11/30/24-4/20/25
Dining Room Attendant: 11/30/24-4/20/25
Steward: 11/30/24-4/20/25
Maintenance Technician II: 11/30/24-4/20/25

REQUIREMENTS:

Cook II: 12 months of culinary experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club
Housekeeper: 3 months of housekeeping experience at a high-end hotel, resort, or private club
Child Care Teacher: 6 months of experience in a childcare environment
Maintenance Technician II: Mid-level maintenance skills
Steward: No experience required
Dining Room Attendant: No experience required
Lodge Attendant: No experience required

H-2B Out-Of-Country

H-2B VISA ELIGIBLE POSITIONS (OUT OF COUNTRY ONLY):

Snow Operations Level I: 10/1/24-4/20/25
Ski Instructor Level III: 11/18/24-4/20/25

REQUIREMENTS:

Snow Operations Level I: 3 months experience snowmaking and/or 3 months snow grooming experience
Ski Instructor Level III: 1500 hours (approximately 9 full-time months) of experience teaching alpine skiing

J-1 Work & Travel

As a first time J-1 Work and Travel participant at Deer Valley, you will need to apply through a placement program with either CCUSA or CIEE. We require this for first time Deer Valley students for your safety and to ensure you are placed in the appropriate position within our organization. Even if you are returning to the J-1 Work and Travel program, you are still considered a first time Deer Valley participant if you have not worked at the resort before.

We only provide job offers to returning Deer Valley participants. We do not provide job offers for independents.

J-1 Internships

Deer Valley works with J-1 Internships for our Culinary and Hospitality teams. The J-1 Internship is a 12-month flip program with our partner resorts during the summer season. Culinary interns transition to Roche Harbor, Washington and Hospitality Interns transition to Deer Valley from Bar Harbor, Maine.

We work with Janus International for Culinary and Alliance Abroad for Hospitality. Culinary Internships consist of Cook II or Front of House Restaurant Supervisor. Our Hospitality Interns are Lodging Guest Services Attendants.
