Deer Valley Celebrates the Holidays with Santa, Torchlight Parade and New Year's Eve Dinner at The Mariposa
DEER VALLEY RESORT; PARK CITY, UTAH (Dec. 19, 2024) – Holiday magic is in the air at Deer Valley, and guests are invited to celebrate the season with the resort’s signature traditions. Santa pays a visit on Christmas Eve, the annual Torchlight Parade lights up the slopes before the New Year and The Mariposa prepares an elegant 5-course dinner to properly ring in 2025, among many other ways to get into the holiday spirit.
“We welcome families and friends to make timeless memories with Santa, witness the impressive spectacle of our annual Torchlight Parade, or ski our award-winning slopes together this season,” said Deer Valley Vice President of Marketing, Susie English. “There’s also still plenty of time to choose the perfect Deer Valley keepsakes our onsite retail stores or online shop for thoughtful gifts this holiday."

Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2024
Santa Claus will be visiting guests in the Snow Park Lodge base area from 9 to 11 a.m. and mid-mountain near Silver Lake Lodge from noon to 1:30 p.m. Guests and their children are invited to bring a camera and take their picture with Santa.

Dec. 27 – 31, 2024
Skiers can take advantage of early morning access to freshly groomed slopes when Deer Valley’s chairlifts turn an hour early, beginning at 8 a.m. each day.
Monday, Dec. 30, 2024
Guests are invited to witness Deer Valley’s annual tradition. The Torchlight Parade will be held at approximately 6 p.m. (dusk) on Big Stick ski run on Bald Eagle Mountain, behind Snow Park Lodge. Complimentary hot chocolate, cider and cookies will be served on the Snow Park Plaza from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. New this year! Spectators will be treated to a festive fireworks display at the conclusion of the Torchlight Parade.
New Year’s Eve Dinner at The Mariposa

Welcome 2025 with an unforgettable dining experience at The Mariposa. Indulge in a carefully curated five-course menu featuring the finest seasonal ingredients. Enhance your meal with expertly paired wines and raise a glass to the New Year in this intimate, exclusive setting. Seatings at 6 p.m. or 8 p.m. are available at $250 per person.
