Ride up the Silver Lake Express chairlift from the base and explore miles of hiking-only trails from our mid-mountain Silver Lake Village area, or hop on the Sterling Express chairlift at mid-mountain to access the top of Bald Mountain. With even more hiking-only trails available from the top, everyone will find their perfect path. Those hiking up the mountain can enjoy a complimentary chairlift ride down. Please be aware that good hiking shoes are recommended.

Discover Scenic Trails and Breathtaking Views at Deer Valley
BALD EAGLE TRAIL: 2 MILES
This steep, intermediate descent/strenuous ascent +/- 1,000'. This trail connects Silver Lake and Snow Park areas offering a mix of open views and shaded sections.

SILVER LAKE TRAIL: 2 MILES
Intermediate descent/strenuous ascent +/- 1,400’. This trail encircles the top half of Bald Mountain, offering spectacular views in all directions.

ONTARIO CANYON CONNECTOR: .65 MILE
Connects Ontario Canyon and Red Cloud hiking trails.

SULTAN OUT & BACK: 3 MILES
Easy descent/intermediate ascent +/- 900’. Access to the east of Silver Lake Lodge. This trail offers a gradual descent through aspens and pines, ending at a viewing deck of the Jordanelle Reservoir, Uinta Mountains and Heber Valley. There is no chairlift-served access; please note this trail is also open for equestrian use.

SCENIC OVERLOOK: .25 MILE OUT AND BACK
Easy +/- 100’. Access via top of Sterling Express chairlift. This is a short hike offering beautiful views of the Jordanelle Reservoir and Uinta Mountains.

ONTARIO CANYON TRAIL: 2 MILES
Intermediate descent/strenuous ascent +/- 1,400’. This trail descends the backside of Bald Mountain through a wide-open meadow, finishing in Ontario Canyon. The trail is a steep single track for the first mile and then becomes more gradual. This trail is a good option to connect to, or return from, the multi-use trail system on Flagstaff Mountain.

RED CLOUD TRAIL: 1 MILE
Easy descent/intermediate ascent. This trail connects the Mid Mountain Trailto the top of Flagstaff Mountain as it winds through the forest and meadows.
